Steve Moon Managing Partner
As Founder and Managing Partner, Steve is responsible for shaping the firm’s strategic direction, growth initiatives, and cultural standards which are uniquely linked to the long-term value proposition for clients, advisers, and Granite Bay’s partners.
Steve brings over two decades of private wealth experience across leading Australian and global firms, including Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Macquarie. Throughout his career, Steve has guided clients through major liquidity events, periods of volatility, complex restructures, and multi-jurisdictional challenges – providing the steady, informed perspective clients depend on during critical decision points. His depth of expertise directly influences Granite Bay’s investment philosophy and principles: disciplined, forward-looking, and individually aligned to each client’s goals.

David Asplin Chief Executive Officer / Partner
David is a Co-Founder of Granite Bay and brings more than 30 years of financial services experience across funds management, institutional distribution, and operational leadership. His career spans senior roles at QIC, Challenger and Colonial First State, including Deputy Managing Director and Head of Funds Management for QIC’s Global Real Estate division. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer for QIC GRE, led QIC’s Global Clients and Marketing team, and was Managing Director of Global Business Development.
Known for building high-performing, values-led teams, David is committed to developing people and elevating the standards that shape the client experience. As CEO, he oversees the execution of Granite Bay’s strategy, embedding the culture, capabilities, and conviction required for long-term success.
David also serves as a Director of the Brisbane Broncos Limited (ASX:BBL) and the Broncos Leagues Club.

Matt Nicholls Chief Operating Officer / Partner
Matt is a Founding Partner of Granite Bay and private wealth management executive with 30 years of experience driving operational excellence and growth across global markets. His career includes senior leadership roles at Morgan Stanley and Macquarie, where he oversaw complex operating environments, built high-performing teams, and delivered large-scale change across adviser and client platforms.
Matt’s expertise spans business transformation, risk management, operations, and client experience – capabilities that ensure Granite Bay runs with precision, efficiency, and a relentless commitment to improvement. He is known for his steady, solutions-focused approach to complex challenges, and for creating environments where advisers and teams can deliver their best work.
As Chief Operating Officer, Matt is responsible for shaping Granite Bay’s operating model and embedding the investment solutions, processes and systems that support long-term scalability and an exceptional client and adviser experience.

Jessica Brady General Manager / Partner
Jessica is a Founding Partner of Granite Bay with 20 years’ experience across Australia’s wealth advisory and platform sectors, Jessica draws from a career spanning risk and compliance, AFSL governance, operations, strategy and large-scale transformation. She has held senior roles at MLC, Macquarie, BT Financial Group, Westpac and Colonial First State, delivering complex projects, overseeing licensee and platforms operations, and shaping adviser and client propositions across national networks. Jessica also has significant expertise in selecting and managing third party providers and establishing strong supplier governance frameworks.
As General Manager, Jessica is responsible for bringing together the firm’s people, partnerships and processes to facilitate a highly connected, high-performance environment. She is committed to ensuring that advisers are given the tools and support to deliver exceptional outcomes and that clients benefit from a personalised, premium and secure experience.

Peter Seldon Investment Adviser / Partner
Peter is a Founding Partner of Granite Bay and brings 30 years of experience across global financial markets, spanning equities, derivatives, foreign exchange and fixed interest. His career includes establishing an equity-derivatives market-making desk, trading swaps and bond repo for a global investment bank, and leading rate-derivative operations.
Peter now advises a select group of family offices, small institutions and high-net-wealth individuals. He works closely with each client to define objectives, set asset-allocation strategies across global markets and provide tailored security selection. His strength lies in simplifying complexity and delivering clear, practical advice aligned to long-term goals.
Recognised on Barron’s Top 100 Financial Advisers list in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, Peter combines deep market expertise with a disciplined, client-centred approach.
Outside work, Peter serves as Chair of Language Disorder Australia, which operates Mancel College, supporting children with language disorders.

Peter is a Founding Partner of Granite Bay and brings more than 35 years’ experience helping clients manage, grow and preserve their wealth. Before joining Granite Bay, he spent fifteen years at Morgan Stanley, advising high-net-wealth individuals, families and organisations on portfolio strategy and investment management. Earlier in his career, Peter founded and successfully exited his own superannuation and insurance consultancy and held senior roles at Merrill Lynch, specialising in advising corporate executives on complex share and options strategies.
Peter is known for his thoughtful approach, taking the time to understand what matters most to his clients, both personally and financially, to deliver the service and results they deserve.
Peter is a former Board member and Investment Committee member of Good2Give and has previously served on the Advisory Board of Stewart House, a respite for underprivileged children.

Prior to joining Granite Bay, Chris held advisory roles at Morgan Stanley and Evans and Partners, where he developed a strong reputation for delivering tailored investment advice and long-term portfolio solutions for sophisticated clients.
Chris specialises in endowment-style investing, constructing multi-asset portfolios designed to preserve and compound wealth across generations. His approach combines disciplined portfolio construction, rigorous manager research, and deep due diligence, with a strong focus on connecting clients to high-quality investment opportunities and institutional-grade solutions.

Connor Mauro Associate
Connor joins Granite Bay with four years of wealth management experience having previously held the role of Associate at Morgan Stanley, where he worked alongside Executive Financial Advisers to deliver customised investment solutions for HNW and UHNW clients, including SMSFs, family offices, not-for-profits, and privately held businesses.
In this role, Connor was actively involved in the execution and oversight of complex investment portfolios, along with client onboarding and account maintenance. His experience covers a broad range of asset classes and investment structures, including listed securities, exchange-traded products, managed and alternative funds, fixed income, commodities, and structured investments.
Connor brings to Granite Bay a disciplined, analytical approach to investment implementation and portfolio oversight, with a strong focus on aligning strategies to client objectives and risk profiles.

Andrew Spathis Associate
Andrew brings experience across private wealth management, business banking and operations. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley as a Private Wealth Management Associate, supporting Executive Financial Advisers in delivering tailored investment strategies for HNW and UHNW clients, family offices, SMSFs and private entities.
Andrew has been closely involved in the implementation and monitoring of sophisticated multi-asset portfolios across equities, managed funds, alternatives, fixed income and structured solutions. Earlier roles at Macquarie Group and Bank of Queensland provided a strong foundation in complex lending, client onboarding, operational processes and risk management.
Known for his analytical mindset and proactive, client-first approach, Andrew works closely with advisers to ensure portfolios are implemented efficiently, monitored carefully and aligned to each client’s objectives.
Andrew is currently completing his Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning) at Queensland University of Technology.

Whether driving business initiatives, strengthening operations or helping clients implement advice, Alice ensures objectives are achieved with consistency and purpose.

Sarah brings more than 20 years of financial markets experience across a variety of different roles in New Zealand and London. Her career has included working as a Market Information officer for the New Zealand Stock Exchange, as Head Dealer trading equities and bonds for Direct Broking as well as leading change projects across Kiwi Wealth and Kiwibank as a Senior Project Manager.
After working as Service Operations Lead for Microsoft, Sarah sees value in using technology to improve efficiency and enhance service quality. She builds strong client relationships with her client first approach.

Damien Frawley Non-Executive Chair
Damien has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services sector domestically and internationally. He has a strong focus on developing and executing strategy, particularly around growth, through strong partnerships and stakeholder management.
From 2012 to 2022, Damien was the CEO of Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), one of Australia’s leading investment managers. He led the Queensland Government-owned global institutional investment manager for nine years, retiring as CEO in 2022.
Prior to his QIC role, Damien was the country head of BlackRock Australia. Damien’s career has also included roles at Merrill Lynch Investment Management, Barclays Global Investors and Citibank.
Damien is currently the Chair of Hostplus Superannuation and Queensland Treasury Corporation Capital Markets and a Director of Elders Limited.

Leanne Bradley Non-Executive Director
Leanne has more than 25 years of experience across investment management, fintech, consulting and governance. Her career spans senior roles with leading global and Australian institutions including ING, Rothschild, BT Financial Group, Aberdeen Asset Management and AMP Capital, where she worked across product, investment governance, relationship management and strategic projects.
For the past decade, Leanne has led a successful fintech consulting practice, advising fund managers, financial planning firms, superannuation funds and emerging technology businesses. This work has given her a unique, cross-sector perspective on the opportunities and challenges shaping modern wealth and asset management.
Leanne has extensive experience working with executive teams and boards on product launches, investment strategy, organisational design, mergers and acquisitions, and the implementation of new operating models. She is recognised for her strength in governance, strategic decision-making and fostering effective board and committee outcomes.
